Minimalist and overwrought, my work explores dualities: hard and soft, concealment and revelation, body and spirit.
Through drawing, painting and sculpture I confront themes of freedom and oppression, presence and abscence through remnants and suggestions of intervention in the Australian landscape, a landscape where history and memory is almost palpable, layered with histories of violence and oppression, where beauty meets unease.
The past lingers in the land, shaping our psyche, even as we impose ourselves on it and shape our environments.
For those who understand the beauty of accepting uncertainty, ambiguity and the spectrum between dualities, this is an invitation to look closer, to listen to echoes, to live with questions. Explore my work.
